Upholstery & Sewing I learned upholstery at a very young age. My parents started refinishing and re-upholstering furniture in our garage. The business just continued to grow and so did my knowledge of being an entrepreneur and a craftsperson. I learned how to sew and upholster from the many wonderful and talented people that my parents hired to work for them. There were many times that I taught myself how to accomplish something by just taking something apart and putting it back together again. Now that I am older, I realize what havoc I had created for my parents when I just had to take apart the sewing machines and other tools to see how they worked! Well… I just need to know. And now I still feel the need to take something apart and put it back even better than what it was. I feel a real a great sense of pride and accomplishment to see the reaction on a customers…
I started working on furniture at a very young age. I’ve always had a passion for taking things apart and putting them back together. Re-creating a beautiful piece of furniture or a magnificent window treatment is my specialty. The years and years of acquired knowledge, from some of the greatest craftspeople and especially my Mom and Dad, makes my work stand apart from others.
It is only appropriate that I now have a studio in one of the mills where I first learned my craft. With the high ceilings and large, tall windows, it is a comfortable atmosphere, conducive to creativity and inspiration.
My studio is where you can find many hand sewn products, such as aromatic warmers and recycled market bags. Many items for sale include a large selection of fabrics, jewelry, knitted sweaters and other handcrafted pieces of art. Please come for a visit or possibly a lesson in sewing or upholstery!
